The Bayfront Volunteer Program

There are a multitude of ways in which to make a difference for our children and families through volunteer action. What may fit for you is going to be dependent on your level of commitment; the time you have to give; and the skills, assets, and strengths that you bring. We offer variety of opportunities available, with many that may be performed in or around typical work or school schedules. Please see the below volunteer opportunity descriptions.

Support Volunteer Opportunities

The following opportunities offer support opportunities that involve little to no direct contact with the children in our programs but are vital to the sustainability of our programming and services. Opportunities such as:

  • Administrative Volunteer
  • Special Events Volunteer
  • Social Media Volunteer
  • Training Volunteer
  • Parent Support Volunteer
  • Community Resource Quest (for individuals or groups!)

Direct Service Opportunities

As a direct service volunteer, you’ll have the opportunity to work directly with Bayfront’s at-risk youth, from 5 to 18 years of age, on a regular basis. All direct service volunteers must be at least 18 years old and go through a clearance process, which will require Department of Justice, FBI, and Community Care Licensing clearances. Our Volunteer Orientation will go into greater detail regarding these direct service volunteer opportunities. Opportunities such as:

  • Childcare Volunteer
  • Tutoring Volunteer
  • Mentoring Volunteer
  • Life Coach Volunteer (for 18+)
  • Healthy Cooking Volunteer
  • Program Events Volunteer
