Parent Training & Education Program

Parent Training & Education Program

Parent education, counseling, and support services give parents and caregivers the opportunity to hear from and be supported by other caregivers of special needs children. Many of the families are grandparents, aunts, uncles, siblings, or extended family members who are raising a relative’s child(ren) and are in need of additional support. Facilitated activities offer a forum to expand connections and resources in the community, gain new child interaction and communication skills, and increase the well being and permanency of the child(ren) in their care.
