Now Hiring – Translator and Program Assistant

The Translator/Program Assistant is responsible in providing both written and oral communication from one language to another for the Outpatient Department at Bayfront Youth and Family Services. Ability to translate written documents as well as provide oral interpretation for family and individual meetings. Must be culturally sensitive, free from personal bias or opinions, and ensure that all material translated/interpreted retain the content and meaning of the original message. Must possess strong organizational and time management skills and have experience in general clerical, office, administrative and program support message.


Must pass criminal background clearance, and hold a valid CA driver’s license. Department of Mental Health (DMH) translator certification is a plus.

Bi-lingual in English and Spanish

Must have 2 years’ experience as a translator/interpreter

Must possess strong documentation skills, be able to type 40 to 65 wpm, and provide general clerical, reception and program support.
